Ny avhandling: Det föreställda folkbiblioteket

På lördag den 9 maj disputerar Åse Hedemark vid Uppsala universitet. Avhandlingen heter Det föreställda folkbiblioteket: En diskursanalytisk studie av biblioteksdebatter i svenska medier 1970-2006

Journal of Information Architecture

En ny tidskrift har sett dagens ljus. Så här presenteras den på webbplatsen:

"The Journal of Information Architecture is an international peer-reviewed scholarly journal. Its aim is to facilitate the systematic development of the scientific body of knowledge in the field of information architecture."

Planen är att presentera två nummer om året. I det första, nu publicerade, finner vi fyra artiklar; däribland en av Helena Francke: Towards an Architectural Document Analysis. Hennes artikel bygger på den avhandling hon publicerade häromåret.

EXAKT

Det föregående inlägget om Soo Young Rieh och hennes projekt får mig att tänka på ett svenskt, liknande forskningsprojekt, nämligen EXAKT: Expertis, auktoritet och kontroll på Internet: en studie av formandet av källkritik i webb 2.0-miljöer.

Soo Young Rieh

Idag hade BHS besök av Soo Young Rieh, forskare från The School of Information, University of Michigan. Hon föreläste utifrån rubriken Credibility assessment heuristics in the participatory digital environment. En stor del av tiden uppehöll hon sig vid det forskningsprojekt hon leder just nu: Credibility Assessment in the Participatory Web Environment.
